The Provençal countryside harbours certain sites of a rare beauty, situated far from the pollution, hustle and bustle of city life. Inhabited for 6000 years, Château Rasque is one of these magical places. Here, Neolithic men carved their stone tools, Ligurians built the Castelar oppidum to defend their crops in 400 BC, Greeks and Romans planted the first Rasque vines, and medieval peasants built their existence around the wheat, olives and wines. The Château itself, bordered by an impressive 250 acre estate, implements traditional growing techniques, combining a deep respect for quality and time-old savoir-faire.
